Forthcoming Events

27 December 2017: As a change from the Annual Rotary Cocktail party of the last few years, the Rotary Club of Kenton on Sea will be supporting the Night Shift Street Market on Wednesday, 27 December. Join us in the Kenton Town Hall for a fun evening of music provided by Kevin Abraham and “Folkify”. A Cash Bar will be available and the food stalls at the Street Market, or the Kenton Garage Cafe will provide a tasty snack. Rotary will also be holding its annual Auction, proceeds from which will, as always, go to our local community projects. Tickets are on sale at the Kenton Tourism Office at R 120 pp. Tables of 10. See you there! (Tickets may also be arranged through local club members)

24 October 2017 is World Polio Day. Our Club will be celebrating with a World’s Greatest Meal dinner for the Rotary END Polio Now campaign. Tickets are available at Kenton News Agency at R 165 pp. The evening begins at 6pm at the Dias Angling Club, Kenton on Sea. Funds raised will go to the Rotary Foundation where the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation will meet our amount and increase it by 2:1 US dollars. Since 1985, the eradication of Polio worldwide has been one of the major Rotary International initiatives and, to date, the wild poliovirus now exists only in 3 countries – Afghanistan, Pakistan and possibly Nigeria…… BUT – until it has been wiped out everywhere, it is only a plane or train trip away. Mankind has only ever wiped out one other disease – Small Pox. Join us on the 24th October and help us put an end to Polio.
