THE SEAFOOD XTREME May 2011:

The Kenton on Sea Rotary Club Seafood dinner in the Town Hall on 27th May 2011 was the beginning of the Kenton Xtreme weekend. The driving force for this fundraiser (the largest one undertaken by the Rotary Club) was the Wilmot family, with Keith, Olive and Justin in charge of the cooking. The Wilmots first started seafood dinners when they owned the Kenton Hotel in the 1970s and they really know what to do. Fifty litres of mussel soup and 200 kg of fish were cooked and about 240 people enjoyed a five course meal. The entire Rotary Club was involved and worked hard to make the evening a resounding success!

CHRISTMAS IN JULY. JULY 2011

An outstanding project that catered for 100 persons only and was over-subscribed. A great evening was had by all with the food being out of this world. Roast turkey and gammon with roast potatoes and other tasty vegetables followed by tipsy tarts, coffee cheese and biscuits. Well done to Val Hill and all who were involved.
